Located in a rural community in Ghana, Srohume AME Zion Basic School serves over 300 students from kindergarten through primary school. Despite limited resources, the dedication of the teachers and the enthusiasm of the students is truly inspiring.
Our partnership with this school began in 2020 with a school supply drive. We provided textbooks, notebooks, pencils, and other essential learning materials. The impact was immediate - teachers reported that students were more engaged and excited about learning when they had the proper materials.
Principal Emmanuel Mensah shared with us: "Before the supplies arrived, some of our students had to share one pencil among three children. Now, every child has their own materials, and you can see the difference in their confidence and participation."
We continue to support this school annually with school supplies, and we're exploring opportunities to expand our partnership with teacher training programs and infrastructure improvements.
